This is the check valve side of the compression valve, Notice the 2 little bleed slots on the left and right port.
This is the valving side of the compression valve and notice the small orifices in it. This produces a more progressive curve as most of the damping is done by the ports than by the valving stack.
Here is a image of a little comparison between the stock valved Hayabusa forks and a Racetech 20mm Gold Valve valved for a mid 400lb bike with a 180lb rider. Notice the very progressive nature of the Hayabusa stock valving, That is due to the restrictive ports on the stock Hayabusa compression valve.
This is the check valve side of the rebound valve. Notice the bleed slot on the top port.
This is the valving side of the rebound valve, Notice the larger ports on this valve as compared to the compression valve.
Here is a image comparing the stock Hayabusa rebound valving stack & Racetech's Rebound Gold Valve stack set for the stock .85 spring of the Hayabusa.
