Fluid Viscosity Effect On Damping

Here is a image that shows the affects of changing fluid viscosity without any valving changes.

The 2.5, 5, 10 & 15 wt fluids were all run using the same exact valving and valve. If you wanted a firmer low speed feel and still retain a softer hi speed (More Digressive) you could just change the fluid but keep in mind that this is just a plot of the compression side of the damping and fluid viscosity will affect the rebound damping as well. When looking at the graph notice how the damping lines comes together the faster the velocity of the suspension.
